Well, I knew it was too good to be true.  I didn't expect the vegetarian meal endeavour would actually last one week.  In fact I was quite surprised the quest to go vegetarian actually last a whole four days, which to me seems like quite an achievement for someone who has never gone vegetarian before.

On to the third day of this sudden desire to be a vegetarian, the search for sample recipes have reached a huge mind block because, for this endeavour I have promised myself that I will try to create my own recipes (no matter how unoriginal they may be!)

The second day of the week-long vegetarian meal request continues with this simple dish which I have prepared countless number of times since it is a favourite with my kids.  Taking that into consideration, I decided to make a vegetarian version of it.

There are times when a challenge is thrown at you smack in the face, when you least expected it.  And this challenge came in the form of preparing vegetarian dishes for a week upon the request of one of my family members.

This is yet another one of those things I do for people who are always willing to accept me whenever I come over and visit their schools.  It is very difficult to get people, teachers especially, to accept me; especially in my line of work.

I have always wanted to prepare a few Korean dishes but have never had the exposure of any sort to them.  Even when there is this new Korean food outlet in one of the malls in the state capital, I am still unable to sample any of them because most of them contain seafood which I am somewhat allergic to.

It is always time to reminisce when you spend time in the kitchen cooking dishes that your mother or grandmother used to cook; bringing back a sense of nostalgia if you will.  The dishes you prepare may never be the same as how they have prepared, but it's just a way for you to remember them.
