It has been quite a while since I baked a cake and the day we went visiting my sister-in-law and her husband was a good opportunity for me to bake again. All I knew at that time was I wanted to bake an apple cake.
It has been quite some time since I had the pleasure of enjoying a bowl of Laksa Sarawak. The last time I made it (can't remember when) I prepared it from scratch even when many of my Sarawak friends told me that it was much easier to use the ready-made spice mix.

Last weekend my wife went for a family day outing with her siblings, their spouses and offspring. I chose not to tag along because I had just came back from a four-day course in Johor Bahru which sucked out almost ninety percent of my energy.

One thing about these programmes is that they are very interesting to watch because of the novelty of the things or ingredients used. The drawback however, is that the things are not easy to come by in this neck of the woods.
