We have all but gotten a bit tired of having spaghetti carbonara, so much so that my kids don't request for them to be prepared anymore.  They tell me that with the instant carbonara sauces on sale (with many different brand names flooding the market!), they too can now make spaghetti carbonara on their own (even when I tell them never to use canned when you can easily make it from scratch!)

It's the weekend!  My kids and my daughter-in-law are home.  My better half had decided to wake up quite early on a Sunday morning to prepare Nasi Lemak with all the trimmings.  Tall order for a lazy Sunday morning, but no one has ever accused my wife of being lazy; certainly not me!

This is a belated entry because all the mangoes on my two trees have all but gone.  We have made every thinkable recipe using our mangoes, whether ripe or not.  We are quite fortunate this time around because we had an abundance of fruits to share with our friends, neighbours and in-laws.

I have the nasty habit of buying foodstuff and keeping them in the fridge and then forgetting about them until they are well past their expiry dates.  Fortunately, most of the time, my missus who regularly goes through the fridge, will remind me about the stuff I have stashed away in cool slumber.
